Rainbow Gets Girls Ready for Life!

On April 19, four members of Concord Assembly traveled to Worcester to put on a puppet show for the children at Why Me, a Worcester-based non-profit organization created to help Central New England families cope with childhood cancer.  The Rainbow Girls planned the puppet show and made 13 sock puppets, including a dragon, a princess, a knight, and a horse, to use for the show.   They presented their show to 5 young children and invited them to sing along with favorite Disney songs.  The children had also made their own paper bag puppets that day, and they got a chance to come up and present their puppets in the puppet theatre.  After the show, the Rainbow Girls invited each child to pick a sock puppet to keep as their own, and they gave the rest of the puppets to Why Me for other children served by the organization.
